In a range of spiritual traditions, mindfulness and neuroscience recognize that humans have three core centers of intelligence, or energies. These include the head, heart and gut.
These three core centers have their own distinctive ways of perceiving experiences, they have their own memory and intelligence.
By tapping into our three different intelligence centers we can gain clarity in helping us make wiser choices.
Science now shows that there are complex neural networks in all three, according to a study published in SAGE Journals. Most of us experience these signal through-out our day; giving a talk - feeling butterflies in the stomach or falling in love - feeling it in the heart space.

Gut Universal Mind
This center is related to feelings of security and where grounding is rooted.
The body is always ‘present’ in the moment, we might catch ourselves feeling the sensation of having butterflies in our stomach. It is a first response to a situation or event.
The gut has a shadow side, a memory bank which stores feelings of angst. This can be destructive however it can also provide the necessary motivation to make changes in your life.
Exercise for making decision from the gut;

We can use our gut feeling as an indicator but not a decision maker. When we feel a negative gut feeling, instead of deciding for or against something, it's time to find the missing information.
Firstly by looking at the facts and results, to make sure we’re not missing something.
Next we can meditate to gain a clear perspective, by clearing the mind, finding neutrality and opening the intuition.
Heart Universal Consciousness
If love is our origin and destination, it's important that we become aware of the consciousness that resides in the heart. Humans have the ability to harness their heart consciousness and use it for their highest good - sending love out into the world.
The heart space is the compass we've been given to navigate life as quoted by Sanat Kumara;
“Go into your heart consciousness.. This is the compass that you have all been given”
The heart is where we place value on ourselves and others. If we feel regret, it will show up in the heart space, a sign we have done something out of step with the heart.
We can tap into our heart consciousness by asking ourselves a very simple question;
“Does this situation, does this action, does this feeling, does this behavior, does this situation, feel that it is in alignment with love and with One?
Exercise for making a decision
from the heart;

Tune into the heart space, what is it saying in relation to the wants? What’s the heart saying?
The heart will tell us something that is most likely something exciting or hopeful, something that's really going to enhance our lives in some way.
Sit a while in this heart space and allow this emotion or feeling to present itself.
Head Universal Thought
The head center contains more than just thoughts. It is the center of curiosity, clarity and insight.
It gains new information but also has a profound inner knowing or understanding of reality.
The other side of the mind is that it can become overwhelmed, with unmanaged thoughts and expectations - which can lead to confusion, altered perceptions and fears.
Exercise for making a decision from the head;
We can focus in and listen to what the head is telling us in relation to this thing that we want... What is the head saying? What is the head telling us about making a decision and really going for it in this area of your life?
If the head is saying a lot, if it’s making a lot of noise, then quieten it down, just turn the volume right down and focus in on one or two relatively faint thoughts.
What’s the head telling us in relation to pursuing and making a decision about what it is we really want in these areas of our lives.

Clarity Decision making process
Saves time and eliminates unnecessary actions, releases energy into acting. When we tap into The Universal; thought, mind and consciousness we're better equipt at making wiser, mindful and conscious decisions.
Anil K Rajvanshi told Times of India,
“To produce deep thought which helps in improving the wellbeing of a person, the gut and heart brains must work together with the main brain. When all work harmoniously, it creates a healthy body and a powerful mind.”
So what are your three brains telling you? You can learn to listen to the messages your body sends you all the time in your head, your heart, and your gut.
