EPISODE 4 Awakening to Neurodivergency | Social Interaction
Welcome back to Awakening to Neurodivergency. In Episode 4, we explore the world of social interaction - an area many neurodivergent people find confusing, draining, or overwhelming, even when we care deeply about connection. In this episode, I talk openly about: 🧠 Why social interactions can feel challenging – Sensory overwhelm – Reading cues and subtext – Time to process information – Interruptions or fast conversational flow – Navigating group dynamics – Emotional labour 🌿 Masking: what it is, why we do it, and why it’s exhausting Masking can help us “blend in,” but it often leads to burnout, disconnection from self, and emotional fatigue. In this episode, I talk about how masking shows up, the pressure to perform, and the impact it has on our nervous system. 💛 How to get the best out of socialising (without losing yourself) – Choosing environments that feel safe – Planning decompression time – Recognising your social battery – Speaking your needs gently and clearly – Finding your pace, not the pace expected of you ✨ The power of having a “familiar person” I explain how having someone who understands your strengths, challenges, and communication style can help guide conversations, offer grounding, and support you when overstimulation or social fatigue hits. Social interaction isn’t about performing - it’s about connection. And it’s completely okay if connection looks different for you. If any part of this resonates, I’d love to hear your experiences in the comments. Thank you for being here and walking this journey with me. 💛 Subscribe for Episodes 5+ of Awakening to Neurodivergency.

Awakening to Neurodivergence – Episode 3: Sensory Experiences
Welcome back to my Awakening to Neurodivergence series. In this episode, we dive into the world of sensory experiences — how neurodivergent people see, feel, hear, sense, and process the world differently. I share my own lived experiences with: 🧠 Sensory sensitivity & sensory seeking 🌿 Environmental overwhelm 🔊 Noise & sound regulation 💡 Visual + light sensitivity 👃 Smells, textures, taste, and everyday sensory triggers 💛 How sensory needs shape mood, energy, routines, and relationships Whether you're newly discovering your neurodivergence or deepening your understanding, this video is a gentle look at what sensory life really feels like — without shame, judgement, or pressure to “fit in.” In this video you’ll learn: ✨ Why neurodivergent senses are different ✨ How sensory overload happens ✨ What sensory needs actually look like day to day ✨ Ways to support your sensory world ✨ How the nervous system connects to sensory processing ✨ How to build a life that honours YOUR sensory profile Thank you for joining me on this journey. If anything resonates, feel free to comment — I love hearing your stories and experiences. 💛 Subscribe for more on neurodivergence, routines, sensory life, nervous system support, and holistic ND-friendly wellness.

Waking to Neurodivergence Ep. 2: How Routines Shape Daily Life (Part 1/4)
✨ Awakening to Neurodivergence – Episode 2: Routines (Part 1/4) Hello and welcome to Episode Two of Awakening to Neurodiversity. If you watched the first episode, you’ll know that I’ve recently been going through my own awakening and beginning to piece everything together — my habits, my patterns, my needs — so I can build a new path forward in my life, work, and relationships. Before we begin, I want to share a little disclaimer: Right now, I’m in between jobs, which means I have more time than usual to reflect, experiment, and create routines that support me. I know this isn’t a luxury everyone has every day, and I don’t want it to come across as if these routines are easy or accessible for everyone all the time. This is simply the phase of life I’m in at the moment, and I’m grateful for it. I also want to give a loving shout-out to my husband, Vincent, who is also neurodivergent. His support has made it possible for me to do this inner work, and share this journey with you. Thank you so much for being here and following along. If anything in this episode resonates with you — if you’re going through similar experiences, or if you’re in your own neurodivergent awakening — I would truly love to hear from you in the comments. We don’t have to do this alone. Enjoy the episode. 💛 In this episode, I share: 📍 How I structure my own morning routine 📍 Meditation, yoga, and why structure helps my focus 📍 Time blindness, transitions, hyperfocus & overwhelm 📍 Common challenges neurodivergent people face with routines 📍 Practical, compassionate tips for creating flexible routines 📍 How environment, lighting, and sensory comfort support focus 📍 Why unfinished projects are normal — not a failure If you’ve ever struggled with sticking to routines, starting the day, transitioning between tasks, or feeling overwhelmed by “structure,” this episode might really resonate. My hope is that it makes you feel seen, understood, and less alone in your experience. Next up in the series: Sensory Experiences. 🌿 Thank you for being here. 🧠 About This Series Awakening to Neurodivergence is a gentle journey into understanding your brain, your needs, and your unique patterns of daily life — with honesty, compassion, and lived experience. 💬 Let me know in the comments: What does your morning routine look like? What’s the biggest challenge you face with routines? #neurodivergence #neurodiversity #awakeningtoneurodivergence #routines #neurodivergentlife #adhd #autism #executivefunction #timeblindness #hyperfocus #selfdiscovery #neurodivergentcommunity

My Awakening to Neurodiversity
My Awakening to Neurodiversity: Understanding Neurodivergence In this episode, I share a personal experience of a profound awakening during a geomagnetic storm that opened my eyes to my neurodivergent identity. I discuss the nature of neurodiversity, the limitations of traditional diagnostic tests, and my own journey of handling overstimulation and finding effective ways to learn. I aim to help others understand what it means to be neurodivergent, how it interacts with everyday life and business relationships, and to inspire those who feel different to embrace their uniqueness. 00:00 Introduction and Personal Awakening 01:10 Understanding Neurodiversity 02:09 Personal Experiences with Neurodivergence 03:01 Challenges and Adaptations 03:26 Purpose of the Series 04:45 Conclusion and Future Topics
